Formulations

Gasket Replacer 907 is a single component room temperature cure, gel-like anaerobic gasketing compound formulated to provide instant sealing capabilities. Once cured between metal flanges, Gasket Replacer 907 maintains a thin and rigid seal while providing solvent and temperature resistance.

Instantbond® 120 is a single-component cyanoacrylate adhesive suitable for applications where heat resistance is required. Instantbond® 120 resists thermal cycling and also exhibits superior resistance to humidity. Instantbond® 120 meets the requirements of CID A-A-3097 Type II, Class 3 and MIL-A-46050C TY II, CL 3.

Ultrabond® 3444 is a single component, tri-cure conformal coating formulated for bonding glass to glass or glass to metals. Ultrabond® 3444 is excellent for bonding and tacking many parts. Ultrabond® 3444 can also be cured with heat above 200°F (93°C) or Activator 56. Exposure to a high intensity UV light will cure these adhesives to a dry, hard surface.

Hernon® Ultrabond® 750 is a UV curable adhesive that can be used to seal a variety of plastics when exposed to UV light. The sealant offers a water- tight seal with excellent environmental resistance. Prevents material escaping through a crimped seal. With Ultrabond 750 a low powered UV lamp (Blacklight), can be used to inspect for the presence of adhesive on the substrates. Hernon® External Ammunition Sealant 76984 is a single component high strength U.V. anaerobic sealant. 76984 has a low viscosity penetrating material capable of bonding and sealing primers and case mouths in ammunition. This Sealant is specially formulated for Ammunition that needs greater fit tolerance and higher bullet pull forces. Curing occurs when the adhesive is applied between mating surfaces. The cured adhesive is a thermoset plastic and endures exposure to most solvents. Ammunition Sealant 76984 cures quickly at room temperature without the need for surface activators or heat to seal primer and case mouth assemblies. Fixturing strength develops in two to three minutes, Full strength will be reached in 24 hours. Cure fillets at UV light irradiances above 100 milliwatts/cm² to insure proper cure. Primer 57 is a single component, solvent-free, reactive monomer-based product designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants. Primer 57 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic products is required, and for difficult to bond applications where galvanized steel or zinc electroplated surfaces are involved. This product was specially formulated for increasing bond integrity on dichromated surfaces.

Cleaner 62 is a non-aqueous, hydrocarbon based, non-CFC industrial solvent which removes oil and grease completely. This cleaning solvent prepares the surface for bonding with Hernon® Adhesives and Sealants. Cleaner 62 is recommended for final cleaning prior to assembling parts with Hernon® Adhesives and Sealants. It is not recommended for cleaning (flushing) equipment or for cleaning printed circuit boards and printed circuit assemblies.

Rust Inhibitor 40 is an effective corrosion remover and rust preventative which leaves a protective finish for up to 1 year. Produces a clean, dry surface that can be painted, plated or powder coated afterward with no pre-cleaning. Not for use with zinc plated or magnesium items. Rust Inhibitor 40 is used on rusted steel when only a minimum surface preparation is practical. Rust Inhibitor 40 protects, cleans and leaves a protective coating.

Primer 46 is a single component, solvent-free, reactive monomer-based product designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants. Primer 46 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants is required. It is especially recommended for applications with passive metals or inert surfaces and with large bond gaps. It is particularly recommended for cure conditions below 15°C.

Activator 45 is solvent-free and designed to initiate the cure of Hernon® toughened acrylic adhesives. Since Activator 45 contains no solvents, no waiting time for solvent evaporation is needed prior to assembly.

Activator 51 is a solvent-free product that is designed to initiate the cure of Hernon® toughened acrylic adhesives. Since Activator 51 contains no solvents, no waiting time for solvent evaporation is needed prior to assembly.

Activator 56 is a single component, non-CFC solvent-based product, designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® Structural Adhesive/Sealants. Activator 56 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants is required. Especially recommended for applications with passive metals, inert surfaces or where large gaps are present.

Accelerator 58 is a single component non-CFC solvent-based product, formulated to provide a faster cure on acidic surfaces and cure excess Instantbond? cyanoacrylate adhesive outside the bond line. Accelerator 58 is used to increase the cure speed of Hernon® Instantbond® Adhesives. It is especially suited for post application on exposed Instantbond® adhesive outside of the bond line. Loudspeaker assembly and bonding jewelry are two examples.

Activator 15 is a solvent free product which was designed to be used with React® 727, 784 and Fusionbond 374.

The presence of surface moisture commences the cure of the adhesive. Instantbond® 112 develops handling strength within seconds and full functional strength in a few hours. Instantbond® 112 can bond a wide variety of surfaces including thermoplastics, elastomers, ceramics, leather, cork, and paper, but is particularly suited for bonding metal substrates. Notwithstanding the superior bonding capability of Instantbond® 112, it is NOT recommended for long-term glass to glass bonding applications.

Instantbond® 117 is a high viscosity, state-of-the-art, single component, solventless, room temperature curing cyanoacrylate adhesive that polymerizes rapidly when pressed into a thin film between parts. The presence of surface moisture commences the cure of the adhesive. Instantbond® 117 develops handling strength within seconds and full functional strength in a few hours. Instantbond® 117 can bond a wide variety of surfaces including metals, thermoplastics, elastomers, ceramics, leather, cork, and paper, but is particularly suited for wire tacking applications. Notwithstanding the superior bonding capability of Instantbond® 117, it is NOT recommended for long-term glass to glass bonding applications.
